In addition to some previously unreleased music, this mixtape contains my personal favorite songs from all 7 installments of the b-sides & rarities series, which includes volumes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5.5, and 6. This compilation release signals the end of said series, as going forward I intend to make a deliberate effort to complete an album that I’ve been sitting on for a while now.

When I was recording some of the oldest songs on here, going back nearly a decade now, I genuinely didn’t expect that anyone other than myself would ever end up hearing them. Some of these songs I wrote and recorded when I was still in high school, some when I was in college, some when I dropped out of college and couldn't get a job, some when I finally found employment and was working a 9 to 5 office job climbing up the corporate ladder, and some 4 years after I eventually quit said job to pursue a self-employed route, which brings us to now. All of these songs hold great significance to me for one reason or another. Entirely unintentionally, these throwaway, unfinished songs that I had recorded over the years ended up chronicling my journey into adulthood.

Going back to these songs now, one thing that I’ve taken away with regard to myself is that, although I’ve never quite figured myself out, my repeated efforts to keep pushing onward have all been valid.

this was one of the best early airo songs i heard. catalyst is also great, i love the feature. airo picks his features so intentionally and they always complement the song perfectly. really slow, earl-like delivery for the first verse, and then airo really slams home the track with his more upbeat verse LeeVyuh
